Job summary

Shire Healthcare is partnering with a specialist provider in Loughborough, Leicestershire to recruit a Service Manager for a supported living service. You will lead a team delivering person-centred care for adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs and complex care requirements.

The role is permanent, 40 hours per week, with a commitment to ongoing professional development. A Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care is essential, and you will be responsible for

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a Service Manager or supervisory role within supported living, residential care, or learning disability services.
• A Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) is essential.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Providing leadership and day-to-day management of the service, ensuring high standards of care and support are maintained.
• Leading, motivating, and developing a team of support staff through regular supervision, training, and performance management.
• Ensuring support plans are person-centred and tailored to each individual’s needs, goals, and aspirations.
• Promoting independence, choice, dignity, and inclusion for all people supported.
• Managing staffing levels, rotas, and recruitment requirements to ensure safe and effective service delivery.
• Monitoring budgets and resources effectively in line with company policies and procedures.
• Ensuring compliance with safeguarding, health and safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Building positive relationships with families, professionals, commissioners, and external agencies.
• Supporting quality assurance processes and driving continuous service improvement.
• Taking overall responsibility for the operational performance of the service.
