Job summary

The National Autistic Society is seeking caring and reliable Support Workers to help individuals live their best lives by following support plans and daily routines. This part-time role (16 hours per week) requires a driving licence and includes comprehensive benefits such as pension and holidays.

You will assist with personal care and activities, support life skills, and contribute to a positive, supportive environment for autistic adults.

Qualifications

• Driving licence is essential.
• DBS check required; enhanced check preferable but not essential.
• Experience with autistic people is helpful but not essential.

• Encourage activities they enjoy (swimming, hiking, arts & crafts)
• Support life skills & independence (budgeting, shopping, meal preparation)
• For you to inspire others with a positive attitude towards supporting vulnerable people
• Experience with autistic people is helpful but not essential
• Personal experience or a passion for helping others is welcome, To protect our autistic adults at the National Autistic Society, all staff are required to have a criminal background check. Possession of an Enhanced DBS Check either on the Update Service or conducted within the last 12 months would be preferable but not essential.
