Royal Mencap Society in York is seeking dedicated Support Workers for a permanent, full-time role (37.5 hours). You will support a diverse group of people with varying abilities, promoting independence and community involvement, with training provided.

We are looking to grow our team of dedicated, caring and enthusiastic support workers. You will work with a diverse group of people, each withunique abilities and needs. You will have excellent communication skills and be a naturally caring and patient personality.

As each service is different, so too are the requirements and shift patterns.Shifts will be spread across mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and bank holidays so flexibility is key. We prepare the rotas at least 4 weeks in advance so you can still plan your personal and social life!
What we're looking for:
Mencap holds a Home Office sponsorship licence; however, due to current restrictions on our allocation of Certificates of Sponsorship, we are unable to offer sponsorship for this role. Applicants must therefore have the right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
All roles are subject to an enhanced DBS check and suitable references.
