A local government council in Wakefield is looking for a passionate Support Worker to join their Supported Living service. The role involves helping individuals with learning disabilities live independently while working as part of a team. Candidates should have a flexible attitude, as shifts include evenings and weekends, and training will be provided. We are seeking an enthusiastic and self‑motivated individual to join our team at the Supported Living service. We have a variation of contracted posts within Wakefield and the surrounding areas.
As a Support Worker in the Supported Living Service you will be caring, adaptable and committed to making a positive difference to people's lives. You will work as part of a supportive team and training will be provided. Due to the nature of the role, support workers are required to have a flexible approach to cover duty rota as necessary; a typical rota includes early shifts/late shifts and you must be willing to work evenings, weekends, bank holidays and sleep‑in. Enhancements are paid on top of the basic salary; additional hours/overtime may also be available.
