Job summary

Autism Initiatives operates a Supported Living service in Eccleston, Lancashire, seeking proactive night-time Support Workers (Driver) to assist autistic adults. Shifts run from 22:00 to 08:00, with options for different schedules.

Full training and DBS enhanced checks are provided, and sponsorship for visas is not offered. The role focuses on enabling independence, health and wellbeing, and home support, with some personal care and cleaning duties as needed.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; full training provided.
• Must be able to work night shifts.
• Driver role requires a valid UK driving license.

Responsibilities

• Support autistic adults to live as independently as possible.
• Promote health and wellbeing and assist with home maintenance.
• Provide assistance during night hours including personal care when needed.
• Carry out some cleaning duties as part of routine tasks.

Job description

35 Hours per week

£23,769.27 per annum based on 35 hours per week

We need proactive and reliable people to join us at our Supported Living service in Lancashire to work nights. This service is in the Eccleston area of Lancashire, close to the town centre with easy access to local transport links. You will be joining a friendly, established team that provides quality support to autistic adults. Our night shifts usually start at 22.00 and finish at 08.00, but please get in touch if you would like to discuss other options.

Autism Initiatives work positively alongside people with autism, providing specialist services that are tailored to each individual.

As a Support Worker working nights, you can enjoy an interesting and varied role. You will be supporting people with Autism to live as independently as possible, promote health and well-being and support them to maintain their home, some cleaning duties may be required. The people who live here may require your support throughout the night which may include some aspects of personal care and to have someone there who they have built a trusting rapport with will make a positive difference. You will be committed to learning about their needs, and be able to offer them positive reassurance and flexible support.

Experience is not required as we provide full training, but a genuine passion to making a difference to people’s lives and a positive attitude are key to being successful in this role.
