The role focuses on enabling, encouraging, and supporting people - guided by their individual support plans - to maintain essential daily living skills and achieve their personal goals. This includes providing assistance with personal care, promoting choice and independence, and helping individuals actively participate in the day-to-day running of their home. You will also support people to engage in their local community and beyond, attend appointments, enjoy social and leisure activities, and maintain meaningful relationships with friends and family.

You will need basic IT skills to update support plans and keep accurate records, along with the ability to prioritise tasks, use your initiative, and build positive, trusting relationships with a diverse range of people.

In return, we provide comprehensive training and regular supervision, ensuring you have the support, guidance, and opportunities you need to grow and progress in your career.

What we offer you:
  • Pay above the national minimum wage
  • 28 days leave per year including public holidays, pro rata for part time employees, increasing to 29 days after 2 years’ service and to 31 days after 5 years’ service
  • Comprehensive service-specific induction and ongoing regular supervision, training and development
  • Working alongside and shadowing a colleague who will support you as you settle into your new role
  • Opportunity and support to achieve a work-based level 2 or 3 qualification
  • Free 24 hour confidential Employee Assistance Programme helpline
  • Reduced rate voluntary healthcare cash plan to support your health and wellbeing and that of your family
  • The chance to wake up every day knowing that you are making a difference!

It is a genuine occupational requirement for some of the people we employ to be female to support people with their personal care. We therefore welcome applications from females for the position of Support Worker as permitted under Schedule 9 Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010.
