The HICA Group have a fantastic opportunity available for a Support Worker to join our expanding team of Care professionals at our learning disability home in Brigg, The Birches.

Pay & Hours
  • Rate of Pay: £13.33 per hour
  • Hours of Work: 33 hours per week
  • 11-hour shift: Days & Nights available
  • Shift Pattern: Working to a rota covering 7 days per week (every other weekend)
The Role
  • Assisting with a variety of care needs and enable our service users to live fulfilling lives, including:
  • Personal care (washing, dressing, oral hygiene)
  • Assist with preparing meals and drinks to better our residents\' overall nutrition.
  • Participate in and support activities for our residents
  • Assist with mobility and transferring safely e.g. from bed to chair
  • Observe and record clients’ physical and emotional well-being reporting any changes.

  • Maintain and develop professional relationships with families
  • Completing all relevant paperwork in a timely manner
  • Reporting any safeguarding concerns
  • Promote independence of our residents at all times to improve their quality of life

About us

The Birches provides accommodation and support for people who live with a learning disability and associated support needs. It compromises of 4 accessible bungalows and 2 flats providing accommodation for up to 31 individuals aged from 18 years.

The HICA Group is a ‘Not for Profit’ organisation providing a range of care services to elderly clients and people with learning difficulties, across a range of services, including our care homes, residential settings and in the community.

The successful candidate will be required to undertake an Enhanced DBS check.
