  • Participate in staff supervision, recruitment, and team meetings.
  • Provide hands-on care and cover when needed.

At Active Care in the Home, we're proud to be part of one of the UK's leading providers of complex care and right now, we're looking for a dedicated Team Leader Support Worker to join our client's well-established support team.

Meet Our Client

I'm a 33-year-old guy living with a spinal cord injury. I'm really into cars and computers especially the technical side of things. I love music, movies, and a good conversation, whether that's a deep chat or a laugh and a bit of banter!

I have an easy-going routine and a fantastic team who know me well they'll support you as you settle in. I enjoy getting out for drives, exploring new places with great views, and spending time with my collection of remote-controlled cars.

I'm looking for someone reliable, positive, and confident behind the wheel someone who shares my interests and can help me live life my way.

The Role

As Team Leader Support Worker, you'll play a key role in providing high-quality, person-centred care in our client's own home. You'll also help lead and mentor a small, supportive team to ensure care is consistent, safe, and tailored to the client's needs and preferences.

Every day is different from supporting with personal care, medication, and clinical tasks, to joining our client on trips out in the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Care Manager and Head Office in managing the care package

  • Communicate effectively with the client, family, and care team
  • Monitor wellbeing and promptly report any changes

  • Be hands-on in providing care and cover when needed
Working Hours
  • Full-time 38 hours per week
  • 3 x 12-hour shifts plus 2 admin hours
  • Mix of days (8am-8pm) and wake nights (8pm-8am) with occasional sleep-ins
  • Flexibility is key to supporting the client's lifestyle
What We're Looking For
  • A compassionate, reliable, and proactive individual
  • Confident driver (essential you'll be driving the client's vehicle)
  • Experience in care; spinal cord injury knowledge is a plus but not essential
  • Great communication and teamwork skills
  • Passion for empowering others to live independently
