Overview

Job Title: Support Worker – Adults Supported Living

Location: Leyland, Lancashire

Salary: £27,000– £30,000 per annum (incl sleep allowance)

Contract: Full-time, permanent

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced support worker to join a fantastic, supported living service for adults with Mental Health and Learning Disabilities backgrounds. You will enrich people’s lives with new experiences like fun days out, football, music and more. You will be working for an incredible organisation who have been established for over 30 years and who empower and enable people across communities to live fulfilling lives.

Your key responsibilities as Support Worker:

  • As the Support Worker you will support the team leader in in ensuring the highest quality of care is delivered. You will regularly complete risk assessments, keep records up to date with. You will be providing physical support which may include helping with household tasks and personal care, provide emotional support for an individual and their families. In addition, supporting and helping with health care needs, including routine checks, or administrating medication. You will teach life skills, such as shopping, using public transport and support with health appointments.

Key requirements:

  • Experience of working with adults with learning disabilities and/or Mental health backgrounds.
  • A Level 3 in Health and Social care or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and alternate weekends is essential.
  • Full UK Driving Licence (desirable not essential)
