Do you want to help Adults with Learning & Physical Disabilities achieve the best outcomes possible? Are you capable of working on your own initiative as well as with a great team?

Corserv care are currently looking to recruit a support worker at Tregarne/Chy Koes, Respite Services in St Austell.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, positive and proactive individual who will embrace change, to join a well-established team in providing a high-quality service for adults with learning and physical disabilities.

You will need to be able to demonstrate that you have experience of supporting and encouraging individuals in their daily activities whilst ensuring that care, respect and dignity are shown at all times.

You will work well in a team but equally be confident and able to work independently in the community when required.

The role includes assisting people in all aspects of their daily living, including personal care and supporting them to engage in activities which promote independence, choice and supporting confidence.

Good communication skills are important for this role as is the knowledge to use IT based software for recording and updating care plans.

The post is primarily based in the St Austell service though staff will be expected to support other services if required.

  • Working conditions: Shift work, including evenings, weekends, public holidays. A requirement to complete sleep-in shifts as part of the role. Physical aspects of the role may include manual handling and assisting people with their mobility. Exposure to the potential of behaviour that challenges.
  • Collaborative: Working with wider teams and clients to deliver success, valuing a team approach to projects and challenges within your role. Using group resources effectively to produce results. Be an effective communicator at all times.

Competitive Rates of Pay & Hours:

£12.63 per hour

Shifts: 30 hours per week, working across days, evenings, weekends and sleep-ins according to the rota. Guaranteed permanent weekly hours.

Sleep-ins are paid at an additional £65.00.

Tregarne/Chy Koes - St. Austell PL25 5QE

Training:

Full training and continuous development provided, job shadowing, team support, 1:1 supervisions and annual appraisals, opportunity to achieve qualifications and a career pathway.

Pension:

A generous pension scheme with employer contribution.

Annual Leave:

31 days (including Bank Holidays). This is pro-rata for part time working patterns. Option to buy extra leave.
