This 10-hour-a-week post sits within BCP Council's Direct Payments Advice Service, but the worker is employed by the individual and family rather than the council. The work is about building a relationship with a young woman who has an autistic spectrum condition and mobility issues, gently prompting her with daily tasks and her independence goals at home and in the community. Days and times are agreed with the family, and the role includes help with prescribed physiotherapy exercises. A driving licence, an insured car and a DBS check are needed.
