An established industry player is seeking compassionate individuals to provide essential support services to families in need. This role involves working flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to help prevent children from entering care. You will work both independently and collaboratively with families, focusing on their strengths and needs. Pay Details: Grade 5 SCP 8 – 12 £25, 992 – £27, 711 (Pro Rata), £13.47 - £14.36 per annum + enhanced rate for out of hours working
Hours of Work / Working Pattern: 37 hours over a day/evening rota.
These roles, require individuals to work flexibly, including out of hours (evening and weekends) on a rota. This includes being available for 2 weekends a month if needed.
Main Place of Work: You will have access to office space in Barry and work across the Vale of Glamorgan, and further afield as needed. There is an opportunity to work from home according to the needs of the service.
Description: Your primary responsibility is to deliver support services to the parents of unborn children, to prevent those children from becoming looked after. In addition to this, you may also be expected to support children looked after and those on the edge of care, including providing an emergency response to support children to remain at home or in their current placement when needed. You will be kind, able to see strengths where families are having difficult times, and have an understanding of how trauma impacts children.
You will work independently, and as part of a team, undertaking direct work with children, young people and families to enable them to achieve the outcomes they want to and that meet their needs.
