PossAbilities is seeking caregivers for supported living services in the Wigan area. Roles include multiple shift lengths (12, 16, 20, 25, 30 hours) with a waking-night pattern on some shifts. An Enhanced DBS check is required; disclosure of past convictions is considered on an individual basis.
The role is female-only for some shifts as per social care planning guidelines. We offer a real living wage (£25,948.96 yearly for 37 hours), pension contributions up to 4%, 20 days leave plus 8 bank

12 hour position at WN1 2ND - Please note that this is a female only role. The current shift pattern is waking nights, and a £1.20 per hour waking night enhancement is payable for hours worked on these shifts. While the role is currently operating on a waking night pattern, the successful candidate will not be contracted exclusively to waking nights and may be required to work other shifts in line with service requirements.
Having regard to the nature and context of the work, it is a requirement of the role that the applicant is female. We consider that this is an occupational requirement pursuant to paragraph 1, Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010 and arises from the social care plan prepared by the local authority on behalf of the service user to which the job relates.

Our Supported living services help people to live as independently as possible. You will be responsible for delivering support for people to live in a safe and happy home.
