Job summary

A leading education recruitment agency in the UK is seeking a dedicated Support Worker / SEN Teaching Assistant to help individuals achieve their goals. The position requires providing personal care, developing care plans, and fostering a positive environment. Ideal candidates will have experience with autism and learning disabilities, alongside strong communication skills. This is a full-time permanent role located in Northstowe.

Qualifications

Contract Type: Full-Time Permanent position

Qualification: SEN experience (able to provide personal care)

This is a full time permanent position and you will be required to support five days a week Monday - Friday inline with school hours.

Responsibilities
  • Support clients with daily activities, hobbies, and community integration.
  • Provide respectful and dignified personal care, including assistance with toileting.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of individual care plans.
  • Foster a safe, positive, and empowering environment for all clients.
  • Maintain clear, accurate, and confidential client records.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience working with adults with autism and learning disabilities is desirable.
  • Knowledge of care planning systems and keyworking principles.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong teamwork abilities and the capacity to use your own initiative.
  • Good IT skills for documentation and record-keeping.
  • A full, clean driving licence and access to a car.

  • Be comfortable and confident in managing challenging behaviours.
  • Ability to engage with, and build rapport with the students.
  • Be creative, proactive and flexible in their supporting style.
  • Have experience with SEND or knowledge learning difficulties.
