Job summary

LDA Care Limited is hiring a Female Support Worker to join our Hyburn service in Hyburn, near Lancaster. You will support four individuals, each in their own bungalow, with primary mental health needs and possible learning disabilities or personality disorders, including EUPD.

You will work as part of a dedicated team to help residents meet personal goals, develop life skills, and manage daily routines, including personal care and medication, following care plans and risk assessments.

Qualifications

• Ability to facilitate PBS strategies with individuals.
• Follow person-centred care plans and risk assessments.
• Resilience to provide ongoing support during daily life.
• Promote active support approaches and inclusion.
• Understand mental health and related needs.
• Experience supporting individuals with complex needs.
• Develop positive relationships, set boundaries and standards.
• Be kind, caring and patient.

Responsibilities

• Enable individuals to meet personal goals and develop life skills.
• Support daily living including personal care and medication.
• Follow PBS and risk assessments as part of team.
• Work with service manager, team leaders and PBS practitioner.
• Promote independence and community inclusion.
