A community-based support organization in Worthing is seeking skilled staff to join their waking night team. You will support clients with mental health and learning disabilities while working with a multidisciplinary team. The role involves building rapport, completing risk assessments, and promoting independence in a supportive setting. Ideal candidates will have experience in mental health support and be skilled in crisis intervention. Comprehensive benefits and professional development opportunities are provided.
Located with easy transport links, with ample parking and close to green public spaces, this is an amazing opportunity to join our team. You will be providing support to clients presenting with various needs including mental health and Learning disabilities. This accommodation service has 8 self‑contained units and a separate office. Support will be offered over 24 hours, and staffing will include a waking night component. We will be looking for a variety of skilled, experienced staff to work as part of our waking nights team on a rotating shift pattern.
You will be working alongside a highly skilled team including a Psychologist and Behaviour Analyst. You will be able to muti‑task with a positive and supportive style to reflect the Venture People ethos of “therapeutic optimism” within the service. You will be skilled in rapport building and happy to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Skills & Experience
It would be desirable for you to have had experience supporting a person(s) with a mental health condition and within a community‑based service.
