A local council in the UK is seeking an individual to provide family support services, focusing on youth justice and working with vulnerable families within a dynamic team. To work as part of a team in the provision of family support services to vulnerable families and children in need. The remit of this post will require working within throughcare and aftercare, youth justice and with Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children. The post holder will work in a busy and dynamic team undertaking programmed and individual work. This role will predominantly sit within youth justice and key tasks include undertaking a range of voluntary and statutory interventions, participate in duty, provide high quality reports, assessments, risk assessments and recordings. Relevant training to the post will be provided. The post holder will carry out these tasks within the framework of relevant legislation, Council Policy and procedures.

This post is considered to be Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) (PVG) Act 2007. Accordingly, the preferred candidate will be required to become a member of the PVG Scheme, or undergo a PVG Scheme update if already a Scheme member, prior to any formal offer of employment being made.
