Qualifications

  • Full UK driving licence is essential.
  • Willingness to complete MAPA/PMVA training.

Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and group support in supported living and residential settings.
  • Assist with personal care, medication administration, and daily routines.
  • Promote independence and encourage skill development.
  • Support individuals in accessing social and community activities.

Support Worker – Learning Disabilities

Location: Loughborough, Leicestershire
Pay: £13.68 per hour
Shifts: Day and Night shifts available
Contract: Temp to Perm

About the Role

Balfor Health and Social Care is recruiting caring and reliable Learning Disabilities Support Workers to support adults in the Loughborough area. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about making a positive difference and supporting people to live fulfilling, independent lives.

You will be supporting adults with a range of needs, including:

  • Learning Disabilities
  • Autism and ADHD
  • Mental Health Conditions
  • Acquired Brain Injuries
  • Non-verbal communication needs
  • Challenging behaviour
  • Physical disabilities and mobility needs (including wheelchair users)

Your support will help individuals build confidence, develop life skills, and engage meaningfully in their daily routines and community life.

Shift Patterns:
  • 7am – 10pm
  • 8am – 8pm
  • 3pm – 10pm
  • 2pm – 10pm
  • Sleep-in shifts
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 and group support in supported living and residential settings

  • Build positive, trusting, and professional relationships
  • Deliver person-centred care tailored to individual needs and goals
Requirements
  • Minimum of 6 months’ experience within care, learning disabilities, mental health, or complex needs
  • Full UK driving licence (essential)
  • MAPA/PMVA training or willingness to complete training
  • Compassionate, patient, and proactive approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Full right to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available)
