A well-established care organization in Bristol seeks support workers to assist a 29-year-old gentleman with disabilities. Responsibilities include providing care in the family home and accessing the community for activities. The role offers flexible shifts with competitive pay. Applicants must have good communication skills and a sense of humour. Full training will be provided.
The Role: To support a 29-year-old gentleman who has Epilepsy, Cerebral Palsy, Learning Difficulties and Severe Visual Impairment. He is looking for additional support workers to join his well-established long-standing team, to provide 24-hour support. You will be required to provide care in his family home, but also to access the community for a variety of different activities to ensure he lives the most fulfilling life. Full training to be given to the successful applicant.
The position is subject to a DBS, and satisfactory completion of initial training and a one month’s probationary period.
Pay: £12.21 per hour, more for carers with 2 years’ experience (awaiting review). Unsocial hours paid at enhanced rates.
Holiday Entitlement: 28 days paid holiday (including bank holidays) pro rata according to number of shifts worked.
