Support Worker Papworth Trust is looking for a part-time, permanent Support Worker to join our Day Service Team in Sawston, Cambridgeshire, supporting adults with profound and multiple disabilities in their daily lives.

We operate across Suffolk, providing a range of services including housing support, employment assistance, and day opportunities aimed at nurturing individual potential and enhancing community involvement.
As a Support Worker, you will help deliver services for adults with profound and multiple disabilities, supporting their independence, choices, and engagement in activities. You will provide personal care, assist with moving & handling, and use communication skills to enhance inclusion and participation, both in group and 1:1 sessions. Working hours for this role are 19.5 hours per week, working 9:00am to 4:00pm on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
We welcome applicants with relevant experience or transferable skills from roles such as teaching, teaching assistant, or supporting older adults. You should be a strong communicator, able to plan 1:1 support, and willing to complete the Care Certificate and Papworth training. Experience with Makaton is a plus. You embrace our values, helping customers achieve independence, inclusion, and meaningful relationships. The post will be subject to an Enhanced with Adults Barred Service (DBS) check process.
