A community-focused advocacy organization is seeking a Support Worker / Independent Advocate to empower vulnerable adults in making informed decisions regarding health and social care. The role includes providing independent advocacy, navigating complex systems for clients, and collaborating with various organizations. This position offers a salary of £24,242.40 per annum, essential communication skills, and requires a full driver’s license for travel.
We have a fantastic new opportunity to join a dedicated and inclusive team providing advocacy and information services across the Banes area.
Working Hours: 37 hours, Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm
Location: Home based with travel in and around Banes; applicants must live within the area, hold a full driver’s licence and have access to private transport.
Salary: £24,242.40 per annum (starting)

Job Overview: As a Support Worker / Independent Advocate you will empower vulnerable adults by helping them understand their rights, exploring options and making informed decisions about health and social care. You will work independently, collaborate with local agencies and deliver persuasive written and verbal representations to secure the best possible outcomes for clients.

An Enhanced DBS check and National Offender Management Service vetting will be conducted for this position. Successful applicants will need to obtain business insurance for their own vehicle.
