About the role

ABC Teachers is seeking a Support Worker to work at an SEN Primary School in Coventry on a full‑time basis.

A well‑established SEN school seeks a passionate, dedicated and attentive Support Worker. Working alongside a class teacher and a team of experienced support staff to assist with the general day‑to‑day running of the classrooms, building a quick rapport with the students to support their educational, social and emotional development.

The role is full‑time and can be ongoing for the right candidate.

The school caters to students with a broad spectrum of special educational needs ranging from moderate to complex and follows an embedded ethos to ensure students excel.

It is focused on creating a curriculum that recognises individual talents and personalities, encouraging all to flourish. The school is easily accessible from Solihull, Birmingham and Warwickshire.

About you
  • Previous experience working with children and young people with a range of special educational needs, such as learning difficulties, autism and looked‑after children.
  • Suitable qualifications such as Youth Work, Health and Social Care, or Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools desired but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to quickly build rapport with students.
  • Able to obtain suitable references and a DBS check.
