About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Housing Support Worker to join our team, providing person‑centred support to asylum seekers and refugees living within our supported accommodation services. You’ll play a key role in helping individuals rebuild their lives, access essential services, and integrate safely and confidently into the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide practical and emotional support to asylum seekers, promoting safety, stability, and independence.
  • Assist individuals in understanding their rights and responsibilities regarding housing and tenancy.
  • Support with accessing healthcare, education, legal advice, and welfare services.
  • Help residents develop life skills such as budgeting, communication, and community participation.
  • Liaise with local authorities, health professionals, and partner agencies to ensure a holistic support approach.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential case notes and ensure compliance with safeguarding policies.
About You
  • Empathetic, patient, and committed to equality and inclusion.
  • Knowledgeable about the asylum system, immigration processes, or housing support (training provided if not).
  • Able to build trusting relationships with vulnerable individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Organised, with strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
  • Experienced in a support, social care, or housing role (desirable but not essential).
