Havencare is a forward‑thinking and growing charity. We have been making a difference for 35 years, changing the lives of people who have learning disabilities, autism, brain injuries, and other support needs. Our big aims include every person having a home that is right for them, and support for the life they choose.
At Havencare, first and foremost, we are looking for outstanding people who align with our values of Transparency, Quality and Engagement.
We’re looking for a kind, reliable person to join our small team supporting two lovely ladies – one living in Mutley and one in Plympton.
This role is all about supporting each lady to live life her way. Promoting independence, respecting personal choice, and encouraging involvement in everyday tasks is at the heart of what we do. We don’t 'do for' – we don’t 'do with'.
Both ladies enjoy getting out and about and being part of their local communities. This can include going out for drives, shopping trips, bowling and enjoying meals out or coffee and cake. Supporting them to access the community and continue doing the things they enjoy is an important part of the role, so a full driving licence is essential.
You’ll also provide support with daily living tasks in their homes, including cooking, light household chores, and maintaining a safe and comfortable environment – always encouraging independence and active participation.
The closing date for this vacancy is 9th March 2025. Applications will be considered as and when received.
