Royal Mencap Society is seeking a passionate and caring Support Worker to help five individuals live the lives they choose, supporting them with daily routines, personal care and community activities. Our shifts run from early morning to late evening with sleep-in requirements; driving with your own car and business insurance is essential for community outings and activities.

Are you someone who loves being out and about, getting involved, and making a real difference every single day? At Mencap, we're looking for a passionate and caring Support Workers to join our team supporting five incredible individuals who are full of personality. The people we support enjoy an active lifestyle, your days can include trips to the swimming pool, visiting the zoo, trips to the cinema, arts and crafts, cooking, movie nights, board games, and regular visits to see family. One person we support is a keen gamer, so if you know your way around a console, that’s a big plus! This is a vibrant and rewarding role where you’ll be helping people live the lives they choose, supporting them with daily routines including personal care, community activities, and SALT (Speech and Language Therapy) plans.
Our shift patterns can vary from 7am-10-pm with sleep-in requirement throughout the week also so flexibility is key. Weekend working follows a 2 on, 1 off rotation, giving you balance and time to recharge. Because all the people we support love getting out into the community, being a driver with your own car and the ability to get business insurance is essential for this role.
