About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our team in a learning disability home in Bournemouth. This is a night shift role, providing essential care and support to adults with learning disabilities, ensuring their safety, comfort, and wellbeing overnight.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide person-centred support to residents during night hours
  • Monitor and respond to residents’ needs, including personal care and emotional support
  • Promote independence and dignity in all aspects of care
  • Carry out household tasks to maintain a safe and welcoming environment
  • Record and report accurately on residents’ wellbeing and any incidents
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure continuity of care
Requirements
  • Minimum 6 months experience in a care or support role (learning disabilities experience preferred)
  • Ability to work full-time, permanent night shifts (part‑time applicants will not be considered)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassionate, reliable, and committed to high‑quality care
