An opportunity has arisen to support an active, fun non-verbal 12 year old boy with outings on a 1:1 basis.

The post is to provide 6 hours of support per week during term time, and 10 hours per week during school holidays.

The family are looking for an enthusiastic, active person to take him swimming, soft play areas. He also loves being outdoors & enjoys trips to local parks.

The successful candidate will be organized, able to plan and have ideas on where to take client in addition to family’s requests. They will also be prepared to venture out of area to special needs centres such as Tim lamb Centre in Newcastle when required.

A driver’s licence is essential to make the most from the limited time available.

Due to his autism, his behaviour can be challenging at times, and occasionally personal care will be required.

Experience with children with learning difficulties is essential.

All applicant’s will require an Enhanced DBS check, but this will be paid for by employer.
