Job summary

Leonard Cheshire in Aberdeen is seeking caring staff to support adults with learning disabilities and mental health challenges at School Drive. The role offers occasional hours to cover holidays and sickness, with day and night shift options.

You will assist with daily living tasks, medications, and accompany individuals to appointments and community activities, while maintaining records and promoting independence.

Qualifications

• Understanding and experience of learning disabilities and mental health.
• Willingness to work flexibly, including weekends.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Support with daily living tasks such as personal care, mealtimes, and medication
• Encourage independence through a person-centred approach
• Accompany people to appointments, events, and community activities
• Keep clear, accurate records
• Most importantly – help each person live life on their own terms
