Job summary

Mencap is seeking Support Workers to join our team in Roche, Cornwall. You will support two ladies and one gentleman with learning disabilities and complex health needs in all aspects of daily life.

Role requires good communication, empathy, and flexibility to cover evenings, weekends and holidays. A driver is required. We offer 30 hours per week on a part-time basis, with a comprehensive benefits package and 24 days holiday pro rata.

Qualifications

• Good communication skills and ability to build relationships.
• Empathetic and positive attitude toward individuals with learning disabilities.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Driver required to perform the role.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with learning disabilities in personal care, mobility, and daily activities.
• Assist with medication management, moving him/her, hoisting, wheelchair use and access to community.
• Record activities and relevant data using the company app; basic IT literacy is important.
