Job summary

Perthyn, a not-for-profit charity, is recruiting female support workers to be based in Pembroke Dock, Pembrokeshire. The role involves helping adults with learning and physical disabilities to live independently, with a range of shifts across mornings, evenings, weekends and nights.

Candidates should be enthusiastic, patient and able to support daily living tasks. A driver’s license is required to travel for work; Welsh language skills are an advantage but not essential.

Qualifications

• Enthusiastic and willing to support others to try new things.
• Committed to empowering people to enhance their independence.
• A car driver and willing to drive vehicles for work purposes.
• Flexible to work a range of shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings, wakeful nights, sleep ins and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Support four adults in their own home and in the community.
• Assist with daily living tasks, including personal care and budgeting.
• Support individuals to improve independence and daily living skills.
• Be a driver for work-related transport; Welsh language skills are a plus.
