Overview

We are pleased to announce we have an exciting opportunity here at Potens for a Support Worker. Bournebridge House is set in six acres of land, giving us a beautiful working environment and great surroundings. This is a residential service where we support young adults with learning disabilities and/or autism. All applicants must hold a full, valid, and clean driving license and have their own vehicle due to the location and the needs of the service. We welcome visits to our service to see if Bournebridge House is the right fit for you!

What we’ll give you
  • £12.95 per hour.
  • Full Time 40 hours per week.
  • Flexible shift patterns available to promote work/home life balance, so a combination of earlies, lates, and long days. Sleep-ins and waking nights may be required.
  • Working alternate weekends.
  • Fuel allowance, £50 per month for full time staff and £25 per month for part time staff.

What you’ll be doing
  • We support people across a range of activities that can include swimming, cinema, theatre, outdoor pursuits, forest school, and day to day tasks such as shopping, a visit to the pub, or even accompanying them on holiday.
  • Our main aim is to provide a homely environment for people with learning disabilities in which continuous encouragement, education, and stimulation are at the core element of supporting the people that live here with us at Bournebridge House.
  • Encouraging choice and involvement, supporting with personal care, and gaining life skills. Supporting and taking part in activities.
