I am looking for a support worker to help my 30 year old daughter lead a purposeful and fulfilling life, enjoying all the adventurous activities that she loves. She is a really active person with a happy cheeky character.
The role will involve building a trusting relationship where you can communicate effectively with my daughter. She is non-verbal, autistic, has a learning disability, sensory processing disorder, and some complex needs. She does need some prompting with daily activities/personal care and needs supervision to keep safe. The work will take place both in the family home and in the community. The community support will involve supporting my daughter to enjoy lots of adventurous activities. We have a couple of support workers on our team but would love to have somebody to cover sessions on Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Friday and be available for some weekend support. This role would be suitable for one or two carers to take on, so please apply even if you can only work some of the days.
