A health care provider in Blackburn is seeking confident Care & Support Workers to support d/Deaf service users. The role involves providing mental health care and requires native British Sign Language skills. We have a fantastic new opportunity to join us and support our d/Deaf service users in Blackburn. We are looking for confident Care & Support Workers with the passion to both deliver outstanding care, alongside play a role in empowering d/Deaf service users to access the same recovery opportunities as their hearing peers. You will be working Full time (42 hours per week) across a mixed shift pattern of 3/4 12 hour shifts per week with a focus on supporting our d/Deaf (profound, severe, partial or hard of hearing) service users with mental health needs, inside our new Deaf community step down setting in Blackburn. This role requires native British Sign Language usage or a minimum Signature Level 2 as it is a deaf service.
Vincent Court is a five‑bed community rehabilitation (level 1) service for deaf men who have progressed through the hospital pathway at Cygnet Bury Dunes (Bridgehampton Ward). We also accept referrals from other high‑support inpatient rehabilitation (level 2) services, other low‑secure services, and directly from the community. This setting offers a safe, comfortable and homely environment that enables individuals to focus on continued recovery and transition back into a more independent lifestyle, with ongoing access to a multidisciplinary team (MDT) at Cygnet Bury Dunes.
