Hourly Rate: £12.30 per hour
Hours: 9 per week
Location: Redruth, Cornwall

Havencare is a forward-thinking and growing charity. We have been making a difference for 35 years, changing the lives of people who have learning disabilities, autism, brain injuries, and other support needs. Our big aims include every person having a home that is right for them, and support for the life they choose.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, resourceful and forward-thinking person to support a person within our service in Redruth. We value candidates who align with our values of Transparency, Quality and Engagement.

The role is based on 9 hours a week (one 4-hour shift and one 5-hour shift), which can be flexible throughout the week (weekdays or weekends, evenings or mornings but not too early).

About the Role

CURC is a 25-year-old young lady with a diagnosed hypertonia and mild learning difficulty. CURC communicates verbally and can express likes, dislikes, and preferences, and engages in detailed conversations. The role involves providing support to help further motivation, improve cooking skills, assist with shopping, banking, attending and organizing appointments, and broader daily living support. The right person will be female, up for a laugh, able to take a joke and not be bossy. Be a good active listener; a driver would be preferable due to shopping and mobility needs, especially when carrying shopping or when feeling unwell.

We are seeking someone who is bubbly, relaxed, and approachable.

Typical Working Pattern

Working pattern will be based on a 2-week rolling pattern. Havencare would like a 4-hour shift and a 5-hour shift in each week.
