A leading support organization in Swansea is hiring a Children and Young People Support Worker to provide high-quality childcare for children experiencing domestic challenges. This part-time role (18.5 hours/week) requires an essential NVQ 3 Certificate in Child care and offers a salary of £26,300 pro rata. Bawso is the lead organisation in Wales providing practical and emotional support to black minority ethnic (BME) and migrant victims of domestic abuse, sexual violence, human trafficking, Female Genital Mutilation and forced marriage.
We are seeking to appoint for the following position:
Location: Swansea
Hours: 18.5 hours per week
Starting Salary: £26,300 per annum pro rata
Fixed term contract up 31st March 2026 subject to funding

To ensure that BAWSO provides a happy, safe and enjoyable experience for developing children and young people, ensuring a high quality of childcare at all times to meet the educational, social and cultural needs of individual children.
The post holder will support children who have witnessed or experienced domestic abuse and plan and provide stimulating, safe, and appropriate play opportunities.
