Job summary

Aspris is seeking a compassionate Residential Support Worker for a Children's Home in Rossendale. You will provide emotional support to our young people, helping with daily activities to promote independence and wellbeing.

You will join a like-minded team, promote safety and safeguarding, and contribute to a warm, nurturing environment in line with Aspris’ values. A full UK driving licence is essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Compassionate and caring approach to supporting young people
• Strong communication with young people, families and colleagues
• Ability to work as part of a team in a residential setting

Responsibilities

• Help with day-to-day activities for young people (wash, dress, school)
• Take young people on outings and activities
• Actively safeguard and promote welfare of children
• Undertake housekeeping and maintain hygiene in the home
• Support the Registered Home Manager to deliver a warm, nurturing environment
• Full UK driving licence is essential for this role
• Experience in children's residential care is preferred

As a Residential Support Worker at our Children's Home in Rossendale, you’ll provide emotional support to our young people, some who may display disruptive behaviours, emotional and social difficulties. So, what will my responsibilities be…?

• Help with day-to-day activities such as getting the young people washed, dressed and out to school.
• Taking the young people on days out, think theme parks, bowling alleys, cinemas and zoos!
• Actively safeguard and promote the welfare of the children.
• Undertake housekeeping and maintain standards of hygiene within the home.
• To support the Registered Home Manager to ensure that a warm and nurturing environment is delivered and developed in line with Aspris’ core values.
• A full UK driving licence is essential for this role
• Experience working within children's residential care is preferred .
