Support Workers Needed Ref 36112

Our client is a happy young adult in the Dudley area who enjoys close relationships with her care team. She has sensory impairments due to a brain injury sustained as a child. Knowledge of Makaton and sensory activities would be advantageous (training will be provided). She enjoys supporting her independence at home and likes to be out and about, with activities like bowling, swimming, attending discos, and going to the gym among her favorites.

The role involves supporting the client at home and after college with personal care, therapy activities, and facilitating access to leisure activities. Previous experience supporting adults or children with learning difficulties and/or brain injuries is preferred.

We are seeking a permanent team member for full-time work as part of the care team, as well as casual support staff for ad hoc assistance.

A full UK driving license is essential.

Hours of work:

Weekday shifts typically run from 2:00 pm until 11:00 am the following day, including an 8-hour sleeping night. Weekend and holiday shifts are from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm or 7:00 pm to 10:00 am.

Rates of Pay:

£14.00 per hour on weekdays

£16.00 per hour on weekends

£11.44 per hour for sleeping nights

Due to the role's nature, an enhanced check with the Disclosure and Barring Service is required.
