You will become part of a team of support workers that delivers person‑centred care that allows individuals access to new opportunities.

Responsibilities

The role of support worker will consist of supporting adults with learning disabilities in their own or shared home.

You will be involved in the daily living of the individuals, providing personal care when necessary, and a large part of the role is providing individuals with access to the community to participate in leisure activities and appointments.

Due to the nature of the care provided, you will be operating on a flexible rota that includes a mixture of short days, long days, sleep‑ins and wakeful nights (for which you receive an enhanced rate of pay).

Qualifications & Requirements

Experience in the social care sector is preferred but you will be provided with an in‑depth, interactive training course prior to starting the role. You must be committed to completing this training and any further training that may be required. Being friendly and approachable to communicate with those you are caring for and your team is essential.

Driving is essential for this role, as the position requires transporting individuals to community activities and appointments.
