We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity here at Potens for Bank Support Workers. These roles are based in Reading, where we have a residential home for 7 adults with complex physical, medical, and learning needs and a supported living service for 5 adults with learning disabilities. The people who live with us need full support in all aspects of their lives. The level of care we provide and the outcomes for those who live with us are outstanding.

Must be a driver with a full manual licence due to service needs.

What you’ll be doing
  • All aspects of personal care, feeding, cooking, some cleaning, and key working.
  • In‑house activities – baking, art/crafts, board games, sensory, reading etc.
  • Outdoor activities – Clubs, pubs, lunch out, keeping in touch with families, swimming, holidays, shopping, and planning.
  • Lone working may be required.
  • You will need to have the flexibility to work a variety of shifts that include early 7.30 am to 2.45 pm, late 2.15 pm to 9:30 pm and nights if needed. Shift times may change to suit the needs of the people we support.
  • The position will involve working across both of our services and will also involve supporting people within their own homes, out in the community.
