About The Role

We are looking for Full-Time Support Worker/Carers within our supported living service in Burnley. Covering days, evenings, sleep-ins, and weekends on a rota basis. A driver is essential as the people we support have their own mobility cars. The individuals we support have a range of needs including learning disabilities, autism, and acquired brain injury.

Position: Full-Time Support Worker (Supported Living)

Location: Burnley - driving is essential for this role.

Hours: Full Time, 35 hours per week.

This role is only available to female applicants as it involves personal care for women, in accordance with the Equality Act 2010.

This role involves providing 1-2-1 care to residents with complex learning disabilities, and it is preferable that you drive for the role.

The position requires lone working, working on a rota that includes shifts and weekends, and sleep-in shifts.

The Role

  • Enable individuals to live full, happy lives, manage their own homes, and participate in community activities.
  • Provide practical assistance and emotional support to help individuals achieve their goals, respecting their individuality and supporting their choices in line with their support plans.
  • Promote health, well-being, and cultural and spiritual beliefs in an inclusive manner.
  • Facilitate social, educational, or work activities, including visits to family and friends, walks, shopping, and recreational activities.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties, including shopping, domestic chores, and elements of personal care.
  • Accurately complete records and documentation as part of the role.
