Job summary

Swanton Care & Community Ltd seeks a dedicated Support Worker to help establish a brand-new Supported Living Service in Colne. You will support adults with learning disabilities, autism and brain injuries, working 1:1 or 2:1 to enable independent living within home and community settings.

You will cover days, evenings, nights and weekends, across full-time or part-time hours, with a focus on empowering people, maintaining dignity and promoting inclusion in everyday activities.

Qualifications

• Passionate, caring and motivated individuals needed.
• Experience in supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, or acquired brain injuries is beneficial.
• Ability to work 1:1 or 2:1 to support independence and personal goals.

Responsibilities

• Support people to develop independence and confidence in their daily lives
• Encourage participation in hobbies, education and community activities
• Assist with visits to family and friends, shopping trips, walks and social opportunities
• Provide practical and emotional support tailored to individual needs

About The Role

We are excited to be opening a new Supported Living Service in Colne and are looking for a dedicated Support Worker to join our core team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in establishing and developing a new service that supports people to live as independently as possible within their own homes and local community.

About you

We're looking for passionate, caring and motivated Support Workers to join our team and make a real difference in the lives of adults with learning disabilities, autism, and acquired brain injuries. You'll be supporting individuals on a 1:1 or 2:1 basis to live fulfilling, independent lives and achieve their personal goals.

The role

As a Support Worker, no two days are the same. You'll play a vital role in empowering people to live the life they choose, supporting them both at home and in the community.

Working across days, evenings, weekends and sleep-in shifts, you will:

• Support people to develop independence and confidence in their daily lives
