A local government organization in England seeks a highly motivated Support Worker to enhance the life chances of excluded children and families. Candidates will provide support and must be willing to train. Flexibility and a full driving licence are required. Benefits include the Local Government pension scheme and a generous leave policy.
Post 1 - Based at Aurora House, Clydebank, 35 hours, Permanent
Post 2 - Based at Aurora House, Clydebank, 35 hours, Permanent
Post 3 - Based at Aurora House, Clydebank, 17.5 hours, Permanent
Post 4 - Based at Church Street, Dumbarton, 35 hours, Permanent
Please note that the part time post salary will be pro-rata to the number of hours worked.
An opportunity has arisen for highly motivated individuals to work within West Dunbartonshire Councils Children & Families Team.
The aim of a Support Worker is to increase, through timely support and intervention, the life chances and opportunities of children and families most excluded and at risk within the community.
Although no formal qualifications are essential for this post, a SVQ Social Care or related qualification are desirable and a willingness to undertake vocational training is required.
We are looking for highly motivated, enthusiastic people to work in this challenging yet rewarding area. The successful candidates will be given regular support and supervision as well as vocational training opportunities. You will be expected to undertake a range of work with families and forge good home/school and nursery links. Some weekend work may be required and a full driving licence is essential.
