At home, you'll support skill development and in-house activities.

Working Pattern:

We are looking for support for part-time to full-time hours, including bank team members. The contract involves daytime shifts with occasional night shifts for holiday and sickness cover.

Payment is made monthly, covering work from the 21st to the 20th of each month.

Shift Details:

Waking night shifts (as required): 22:00-07:00

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure consistency in care approaches in line with therapy goals.
  • Support and liaise with the family as needed.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Follow the client's care plan.
  • Assist with manual handling as specified.
  • Encourage participation in activities, balancing activity and rest.
  • Implement social and therapeutic programs as directed by professionals.
  • Maintain the client's hygiene to an adequate standard.

Refer to the attached job description for detailed responsibilities.

Candidate Requirements:
  • Experience and flexibility to support a 23-year-old with complex cognitive, emotional, and behavioral needs.
  • A positive, creative attitude towards activity planning and delivery.
  • A full, clean driving licence is required for community support, as the role involves travel in the client’s vehicle.
  • Experience working with individuals with cognitive and developmental difficulties is beneficial.
Interview Process:

Interviews will be conducted remotely, followed by a second interview with the client and family.

Westcountry Case Management and the Client’s Deputy are equal opportunity employers committed to diversity and inclusion.
