Overview

Serenita Care Home is a grand Victorian residence in Weston-super-Mare, just a short walk from the seafront and iconic pier. The home provides specialist support for individuals living with Alcohol-Related Brain Damage, including Korsakoff’s syndrome, promoting independence and dignity for up to 34 residents.

We are now looking for a compassionate and reliable Support Worker to join our dedicated team. In this rewarding role, you will help residents live fulfilling, independent lives while ensuring their health, wellbeing, and happiness remain at the heart of everything you do.

Contract: Full Time Salary: £12.21 Per Hour Shift Type: Days & Nights Available Contracted hours: 34.5

What We Offer

Your Role

As a Support Worker, you will play a key role in delivering person-centred care, supporting residents with daily routines, personal care, mobility, and social engagement. You will help residents build confidence, maintain independence, and make positive choices that enhance their wellbeing. From offering companionship and encouragement to ensuring a safe and comfortable living environment, you will be part of a close-knit team making a meaningful difference every day.

What We’re Looking For
  • NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (preferred, but training can be provided)
  • Previous experience in care is desirable, though a caring attitude and passion to help others are most important
  • Empathy, patience, and the ability to build trusting relationships with residents
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A proactive and reliable approach, with commitment to high standards of care
