Overview

Support Worker Urmston - £12.22 ph

Typical Shifts are: 7:30am - 10:00pm and sleep ins, waking nights also available

Role overview

We’re on the hunt for genuinely caring, hands-on Female* Support Workers with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support. As a support worker with us you'll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst working within a dynamic team to support a fantastic group of people!

What you’ll do / Responsibilities
  • Assist people to gain more independence in daily living activities and personal care
  • Support individuals to access their local communities and socialise, and participate in activities
  • Plan and participate in activities such as outings to local venues or in-home recreation (e.g., video games, movies, cinema)
  • Work within a dynamic team to deliver person-centred support in a supported living setting
  • Support individuals to achieve personal goals (e.g., cooking meals independently, planning holidays)
Qualifications and experience
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Resilient, flexible and composed in approach
  • Experience following Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice
  • Experience working with individuals requiring enhanced support, including behaviours of distress, mental health conditions, autism, forensic histories and people who have experienced trauma
