We are recruiting a person for the role of Support Worker within a housing environment. The Client is a large employer, based in the South West providing jobs for around 1800 people delivering services across a variety of fields, always looking to add to their ever developing pool of talent.

They provide housing options for every level of requirements, from homelessness and helping people back onto their feet, through to people looking to buy a home for their retirement.

The Role
  • Working to offer Holistic and Positive options for people who are homeless or potentially facing becoming homelessness.
  • Working alongside people who have moderate – high support needs.
  • Liaising with other agencies in regard to specific needs including Benefits, Mental Health, Substance Misuse, Housing/Estate Agents and Education & Training.
  • Looking after 5-8 customers offering a quality service to support people with complex needs.
  • Writing, reviewing and updating support plans and risk assessments, using a motivated and positive approach.
The Candidate
  • Experience in a support worker position, supporting people with various needs and backgrounds.
  • Having the ability to apply common sense to situations, whilst being accountable for decisions made and reasons behind them.
  • Being able to establish and maintain relationships within internal and external partnerships, and with multiple clients and colleagues.
  • Maintaining records and putting action plans in place
  • Ideally holds a NVQ LVL 3 in relevant field.
  • Knowledge of Housing Support and experience working with vulnerable individuals, being able to read and assess difficult situations and provide solutions
