The Role

We are looking for a motivated, compassionate individual to help us change lives for people experiencing homelessness.

As a Support Worker, you will work in our accommodation and community-based services in Swadlincote, providing housing-related support to adults experiencing homelessness. You will act as a key worker, encouraging positive and healthy lifestyles and assisting individuals in developing skills for independent living. You will be responsible for devising support plans and risk assessment.

You will work closely with our partners across the county and take a multi-agency approach to reach positive outcomes for individuals.

This role involves working both in the community and at the hostel, including sleep-in shifts, and also requires the ability to travel across the region to provide support to people in the community.

We are looking for individuals who are dedicated, empathetic, and passionate about helping people achieve their full potential. You should also be calm, personable, and able to handle potentially challenging situations.

There is an expectation that all Support Workers are flexible to the needs of the service and will provide cover, sometimes at short notice, that may involve working nights, weekends, and bank holidays.
