About the Role
In this varied and rewarding role, you will support individuals within our supported living service and out in the local community. From assisting with daily routines to joining in with hobbies, social activities and appointments, you will play an important role in helping people build fulfilling, independent lives.
We are looking for people who can work independently, use their own initiative and build positive, trusting relationships with those they support.
Key Responsibilities
• Supporting adults with mild learning disabilities in a supported living service
• Assisting with daily tasks such as meal preparation, household routines and personal care
• Administering medication safely and in accordance with care plans and company procedures
• Encouraging and supporting service users to participate in community activities, hobbies and social events
• Promoting independence, dignity, choice and personal development
• Maintaining accurate, up-to-date records and following individual support plans
• Building positive working relationships with families, professionals and colleagues
What We Are Looking For
• Previous experience working in a supported living or care setting
• Experience supporting adults with mild learning disabilities
• Moving and handling trained
• Confident and competent in administering medication

• Good communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
