About the Role

Make a difference by supporting people to live their life, their way. You will be supporting our ladies and gentlemen in their own homes in Great Finborough, helping them to live as independently as possible.

They enjoy a variety of activities such as walking, trips to the cinema, puzzles, exploring trains and buses, seaside walks, boat watching, and spending time with friends and family. In this rewarding role, you'll take the initiative to promote independence while building meaningful connections and making a positive difference in everyday life.

"Gender is considered to be a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with paragraph 1 of Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010".

We can teach you everything you need to know about supporting people well.

What we can't teach you is the stuff that comes from within: that buzz you get when you celebrate someone's wins – big or small, that natural sense of wanting to make someone's day brighter, that understanding that climbing a mountain starts with a single step.

In essence, that's what we are looking for from you.

What does it mean to be a Support Worker?
  • Take time to understand what a great day means to the person you support.
  • Adjust your approach to meet people' needs and build on both their strengths and your own.
  • Help build a supportive environment that encourages everyone to thrive and gives them the freedom to live their life their way.
  • Work together, respecting the strengths and differences of the people you work with.
  • Communicate openly and build trust.
  • Help each other to provide the best support possible.
  • Give our best – be dedicated to making a difference in people' lives.
  • Whether the day was easy or tough, take responsibility for your actions and focus on what matters most to those you support.
  • Be open to new ideas and approaches.
  • Use creativity and flexibility to try different ways of helping others.
  • Provide the most effective and adaptable support possible.
