A social care organization in Clacton-On-Sea is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to help individuals achieve greater independence. The role involves assisting with personal care and community engagement, and requires resilience and a passion for making a difference. No prior experience is necessary, but a caring attitude and full UK driving licence are essential. This is a full-time permanent position offering competitive pay and various benefits.
Support Worker – Clacton‑On‑Sea – £13.29 per hour
Shifts: 7:00am–2:30pm, 2:30pm–10:00pm, 10:00pm–7:00am (typical shifts are a mixture of days and nights).
As a Support Worker you will help people to gain more independence in their daily lives, working within a dynamic team to support a fantastic group of people. You’ll enhance the lives of the people we support by teaching them new life skills, assisting with personal care, encouraging them to access their local communities, socialising and doing lots of activities. One day you could be out with the people we support in local bars and pubs, the next you could be unwinding with them playing video games, watching films or going to the cinema.
This is an amazing role for someone who is looking to really make a difference to someone’s life and to help them grow in confidence and independence so that they meet their goals – whether this be making dinner by themselves or going on holiday.
We are looking for Support Workers who hold a full UK driving licence, are resilient, flexible and composed in their approach, and possess experience with following Positive Behaviour Support plans and reflective practice. You should have experience working with individuals with autism, acquired brain injury, complex individuals with mental health needs, traumatic backgrounds and challenging behaviours.
